Our Trip up North

These pictures are out of order so I apologize, but I'll do my best to clarify what they are and when they were taken. Our trip was taken the first weekend of Oct up to Cheboygan, MI where we rented a house on a small private lake. We went to Mackinaw City on Friday and up to the UP on Saturday.

This is Tessa & Charlie in the truck on the way home (Sun)

This is on the beach at Whitefish Point, which is on Lake Superior. Chuck wrote our names in the sand.

The shore at Lake Superior. I could not believe how rocky it was. It was really pretty, though, because they were all different colors and were all round and smooth.

Tessa and Daddy in front of a the wolf and coyote which was at one of the Tahquamenan (sp?) falls

Mommy and Tessa bean at the falls

I think these are the upper falls

Mommy & Tessa at the falls. It was cold and rainy our whole trip which didn't make for the greatest weather, but it was better than snow like the last trip we took up north!

Mommy & Tessa in front of a big, wooden elephant at the McDonald's in Newberry, MI. It's supposed to be the "Moose Capital" of MI but we didn't so much of a deer, much less a moose!

This was Tessa's first trip to McDonalds. She enjoyed it, but she likes ALL food!

Tessa in the car on our trip through the UP

One of the towers on the Mackinaw Bridge. Even though I've been over it several times now (both by car and on foot), I'm still in awe of it!

Tessa with her build-a-bear we got her in Mackinaw City.

Tessa eating cotton candy - again, she'll eat anything you put in front of her!

Daddy's truck on the shores of lake Michigan. We found a road that just dead-ended onto the beach. It was so cool!

A view of the lake from the house we rented.

All in all we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. We don't do much in the way of vacations, so it was nice to get away for at least a few days.
