So I'm sure by now you've all heard about the earthquake? How crazy is that! It's even crazier that I'm pretty sure I felt it. I woke up shortly before 5:45am EST and felt the bed shaking. I just assumed it was Charlie leaning up against the bed frame scratching his ear. I'm guessing that was not it, since the quake occurred shortly after 4:30am CST. The baby's first earthquake!!! Let us know of your earthquake experience.
PS: To our Cali friends... Hah! You thought you were special... well we've got our own earthquakes too here in the midwest. You didn't have to move across country to experience that... :)

I felt the earthquake too and it woke me up sometime between 4:30 and 5am central time. My bed was shaking and I thought I was dreaming it. Of course your father slept through it. I believe it was my first earthquake too. It measured 5.2. We also had an after shock at approximately 10:20am that measured 4. 2 I think. It is definitely a crazy day. The news has reported that although the epicenter was southern Illinois, it had been felt as far away as MI and TN.

My dad said he heard it this morning. He said he thought it was a bird on the window sill flapping its wings and rattling the window, but alas, it was an EARTHQUAKE :)

Well around 4:30-5am I was laying in bed and woke up to a book that I had on my bed falling off. I did not think anything of it, until mom told me about it when I woke up. Then around 10:30 I was over at Darins appartment laying down on his cough with him. He was sleeping when I felt the cough starting to shake. At first I thought that Darin was shaking he leg until I realized Darin was still sleeping. Later on, on friday one of Darins buddys from work called him to tell him that we were going to get more earthquakes, he had no idea we even had an earchquake let alone an after shock.
