Crib

Well, we finally got a crib this weekend. It's been quite a stressful issue this past week. We wanted to make sure we had a nice, sturdy, safe crib for the kid. We also wanted one that converts to a daybed/toddler bed and then a headboard & footboard for a full size bed. Chuck was concerned about getting one that had a movable drop-side, because so many have been recalled. I guess I had never thought about it, but that cut are choices in half in the price range we were looking at. I was getting very discouraged, and knew this was not going to be very fun. But, Chuck's parents, being the bargain hunters they are, went to a garage sale on Friday and found a great crib for $40 and couldn't pass it up. Of course, they had just ordered a crib for themselves the day before. Chuck said he really liked it and that if he would have had the chance he would have snatched it up first. So I went and took a look at it Saturday and other than not matching the dresser we'll have in the baby's room, it's perfect. So needless to say we bought it off them, brought it home, and put it up that night. Although putting anything together, especially a crib, is no fun, it was still exciting. So then we had to start playing around with it and, as you'll see in the pictures, we put the camo bedding my parents got us in it. That's my dolly in there too. She had a deer costume on earlier, but I took it off to be washed. She's our pretend baby until ours comes :) What's funny is that Chuck bought a camo outfit for the baby and when you throw it in the crib, you can't see it, so the baby will be camo'd in! We still need to get a mattress, but I certainly hope that'll be an easier process, although they are half as much as the cribs are! When we finally get everything else set up in the nursery, I'll be sure to take more pictures. And don't forget, Friday's the ultrasound, so check on Monday for the results!!! Until then, take care!
