Other Tidbits...

For those of you 'weight watchers', I didn't weigh myself this weekend, but we did do my measurements, and it looks like I've gained another inch around my waist. And on that note, I still had the Gap maternity jeans sitting in their bag with tags still on and the receipt, with the hopes that I could still find cheaper ones or something, and I still thought they'd be big. Well, I tried them on yesterday and (fortunately or unfortunately), they fit very well. I was a bit dissapointed to see this obvious sign of growth, but then got worried that I maybe should have bought a bigger size, just in case. I went back to the outlet and they're no longer carrying maternity there! What a bummer. So, needless to say, I finally removed the tags and washed them. But like I said, they do fit well, so at least I'll have a nice pair of jeans to wear for a while. My friend Marcia gave me more clothes too, so that was nice. I also got to hold her baby, JR, for the first time yesterday, while I fed him. I've got to admit, babies still make me very nervous, and it made me a bit scared for what's to come. But if you could see Chuck with the baby, you'd think he's been doing it his whole life. He just loves that little kid and getting to hold him and stuff. At least one of us will know what we're doing!

On another note, now that summer is approaching and garage sales are popping up, I went to some this weekend to see what was out there. I went to a house where the lady had a ton of practically brand new Carter's clothes, and I had to tell myself just to get a few, otherwise I would have bought all of them. So I just got a few long sleeve onsies for 0-3 & 3-6 mos, two little pairs of the cotton pants for 0-3 mos, and a pair of 6 mo jeans. They're all so cute. I also bought a brand new bottle warmer for $2. Seemed like it might be something good to have, especially if I'll be breastfeeding and pumping, so Chuck could just pull milk out of the fridge and throw it in there. My mother-in-law, Lynn, also found some great bargains lately, which include a Bobby, brand new changing pad, lots of clothes, and a swing. Chuck and I were having too much fun with the Boppy. He was using it as a pillow around his neck, and I was sitting on the couch with it around my waist like an innertube. It has a really soft velur cover on it too which we liked. And Chuck knew how you're supposed to use it better than anyone! He's something else... I think that's all for now. Less than two weeks until we (hopefully) find out whether we've having a 'little Chuck' or 'little MB'!

You and Chuck should be pros between Gabrielle and Isabelle. You will be more comfortable with your own baby, don't worry. I am trying to be good and not buy any more stuff since we bought all that stuff before Easter. I don't allow myself to go to the baby dept. because I am sure to find something I think the baby can't live without. :) Your doctor will be happy that you are growing and I am sure the Bun is too!

Love you bunches,
Mom

I no you and Chuck will be real good parents. The things you need to know will just come natural when the time comes. Glad to see you are beginning to have a belly.

With our big families there were always new babies around and Chuck would hold them for hours. From the time he was a little boy he was first in line to feed or play with them. He should have learned a thing or two from that. Seeing how MB is with Gabrielle and Isabelle makes me know she'll be a good Mommy.
Collette--Ed has to pull me out of the baby department when we go shopping. He even enjoys looking at all the cool stuff. Is this Grandparentitis??

For those of you that don't know, Grandparentitis is a very real "disease". I do however think that "Grandmaitis" is perhaps worse. :)

Love you guys,
Mom

I finally got caught up on your blog. I'm enjoying your posts so keep it up. I'm glad things seem to be going well.

Sorry I haven't kept current with the blogs but I'm always busy anymore. Uncle Marc sends his love too. I think he's asleep again in his new recliner.

Lots of love, Aunt Paulette
